Athletic Trainers
CYO provides certified athletic trainers for all tackle football games, cross country meets and track and field events. These trainers are fully qualified to handle any injuries that occur during a game and/or recommend further medical care should the situation require it.

COVID REPORTING INFORMATION
- When an individual tests positive, the Health Department is aware and performs the tracing.
- Parents, coaches or anyone that is aware of a player that is positive must inform the parish school nurse immediately.
- DSM or coach please inform CYO if the Covid related incident has any impact on the schedule
- CYO does not perform tracing functions but we make sure all entities are informed; school nurse, opposing teams for example,
if relevant. - CYO follows the requirements of the parish school nurse and health department regarding quarantines which should be similar
(but not always). CYO does not define quarantine requirements. - If you have any questions on what to do, feel free to call or email CYO at any time.
Please let coaches know the health department contact numbers are listed below. - Covid email communication to CYO; please send email to CYO defining school, team, grade, boys or girls, quarantine dates
(cannot play until and can return to play), and that the school nurse has been informed. Do not reveal player’s/individual’s name in
any communication. - Please let us know if we should contact the opposing team if a player was known to be positive during competition.
- Coaches, let parents of the team know about any quarantines if relevant (nurse or health dept may also perform this notification)
