14 match season (12 match guarantee) plus End of Season Tourney Oct. 26th for grades 5th - 8th
Note: teams are subject to playing doubleheaders on occasion.

The 5th - 8th grade end of the season tourney is a one day single elimination two game guarantee tournament on 10/26. The length of the tournament will be determined by the number of teams in the division. The division location is determined at that reseed meeting on October 14. All teams are entered unless I am informed otherwise prior to the reseed meeting. Parish conflicts for the tournament cannot be taken into consideration.
All Parishes will host their own teams other than indicated below:
Holy Cross will host John Paul II for all grades except 3rd and 6th.
St. Agnes will host St. Ann for 3rd Grade.
WCCA will be the host all grades for Christ the King, Holy Name, Our Lady of Unity, and Resurrection.

VOLLEYBALL GENERAL INFORMATION
GAME TIME CLARIFICATIONS:
• All 5th - 8th matches are determined by 2 points.
• A server is allowed only 1 re-toss per service rotation.
• For 3rd and 4th grade, points are added to the scoreboard until one team reaches 25 and any additional points are not added but the game will continue for the entire 15 minutes.
FAQs
Q: Why do we schedule Friday night games when there are Friday night high school football games?
A: Games are scheduled Fridays to accommodate parish conflicts and to accommodate multi team coaches.
Q: Why can’t CYO accommodate soccer conflicts?
A: The schedule is created taking into account parish, sacramental, school, and multi-team coaches. These conflicts alone have involved up to 5 parishes and up to 80% of the tris and quads in a weekend.
Q: Why aren’t all games in the preseason and regular season considered when doing the reseeding?
A: The reseed meeting is done prior to the completion of the 3rd week and prior to completion of the 7th week to allow the schedule to be completed and published in a timely manner.
Q: When does the season begin and end?
A: Early Sept-Late Oct. Check with your AD/DSM for information regarding practices.
Q: Who can play and when are games typically held?
A: Girls grades 3-8 Sat (TH/FRI if needed)
Q: How many games in a season?
A: 3rd - 4th Grade 6 matches minimum
5th - 8th Grade 12 matches minimum and end of year tourney
Q: Does the parish provide uniforms?
A: Yes. Contact your parish Director of Sports Ministry AD/DSM.
Q: When are practices during the week?
A: Practice starts in August. Contact your parish AD/DSM for details. CYO is not involved with parish practices or tryouts.
Q: What if I need to make changes to the published schedule?
