FACILITY GUIDELINES
ALL FACILITIES:
Only players, coaches, and game personnel on the field/track. All spectators must be outside of the fence.
No pets allowed.
There is a gate fee for all spectators ($5 a household, $2 adults, $1 12 and under). Only coaches and players are free.
No alcohol allowed.
There is no smoking, e-cigarettes, vaping etc. of any kind allowed.
Bishop Miege Specific Guidelines:
No tents and no chairs
St. James Specific Guidelines:
No parking in the back of the school or along Claire Road. You will be ticketed and/or towed by the City of Lenexa.
No parking on grass
No outside food or drink
Please clean up your trash
No pets allowed inside the stadium, unless it is a certified service animal.
Grills and smokers of any kind are not allowed on campus.
The parking lot to the North of the stadium will primarily be handicap accessible only and reserved parking for special guests (like the Archbishop).
St. Pius Specific Guidelines:
Gates will not open until 8:30am
Regular Registration: May 1 – Aug 14
Program Duration: Aug 10 – Oct 31
Games played on Saturdays: Sept 19 – Oct 31
Potential Game Locations: Bishop Miege, Prince of Peace, St. James, and St. Pius
7 game season (6 game guarantee)
Boys grades 2nd–5th Grade.
CYO does not post flag game scores / there are no standings in this instructional league
All Parishes will host their own teams other than indicated below:
Holy Trinity will host Holy Cross and St. Paul
St. Agnes will host John Paul II
St. Patrick will host Christ the King, Holy Name, Our Lady of Unity, Resurrection, WCCA, and Xavier
Corpus Christi: Please register and we will attempt to place you with a hosting parish.
Uniform and Equipment clarification:
Please refer to the NFHS 2026 Rule Book for uniform and flag requirements as well as the CYO Rules of Competition. Important points are below. - Pants and shorts shall not have pockets of any type, exposed drawstrings, belts and/or belt loops. The color of the pants and shorts shall be the same single color that clearly contrast with the color of the flag.
- An unaltered flag belt of the same single solid color with two flags and a minimum flag dimension of 1.5 inch by 14 Inches.
- The belt must be worn in such a way that one flag is located on each hip.
- Numbers are only required on the back of the jersey but can be present on the front and the back of the jersey if desired.

FAQ's
- Is there a minimum or maximum number of boys on a team?
7 players will be on the field at a time. We recommend a team size of 9 or more.
- Can they play with less that 7 if someone gets hurt or is sick?
You can start the game with 5 or more players. The other team is allowed to play with 7 players.
- Are there playing time requirements?
While there are no play time requirements, our goal is to assure all athletes enjoy the season.
- Are numbers required on the jerseys?
Yes, on the back of the jersey at a minimum adhering to NFHS uniform rules.
- Do the teams need to provide flags/game ball for the games?Your Parish Program will provide flags for the game. If you wish to purchase flags for practices, Sonic Boom is the official flag and
can be purchased here.
- What size footballs will they use?
Pee Wee balls will be used at all levels for boys Flag Football
- Will there be an end-of-season tournament?
There is not an end of the season tournament.
