FACILITY GUIDELINES
ALL FACILITIES:
Only players, coaches, and game personnel on the field/track. All spectators must be outside of the fence.
No pets allowed.
There is a gate fee for all spectators ($5 a household, $2 adults, $1 12 and under). Only coaches and players are free.
No alcohol allowed.

No tents and No Chairs
St. James:
No parking in the back of the school or along Claire Road. You will be ticketed and/or towed by the City of Lenexa.
Regular Registration: May 1, 2024 – Aug 23, 2024
Late Registration: ($25 Price increase): Aug 24, 2024 – Sep 20, 2024
Program Duration: Aug 12, 2024 - Oct 26, 2024
Season runs Sept 14 - Oct 28.
Games played on Saturdays at Bishop Miege, Prince of Peace, St. Joseph, and St. Regis
7 game season (6 game guarantee)
Boys grades 2nd – 5th Grade.
CYO does not post flag game scores / there are no standings in this instructional league
All Parishes will host their own teams other than indicated below:
Corpus Christi will host St. John the Evangelist
Holy Trinity will host Holy Cross and St. Paul
Sacred Heart will host Good Shepherd 5th Graders and St. Joseph 5th Graders
St. Agnes will host John Paul II
St. Ann will host St. Agnes 4th Graders
St. Patrick will host Christ the King, Holy Name, Our Lady of Unity, Resurrection, and Xavier
FAQ's
- Is there a minimum or maximum number of boys on a team?
7 players will be on the field at a time. We recommend a team size of 9 or more.
- Can they play with less that 7 if someone gets hurt or is sick?
You can start the game with 5 or more players. The other team is allowed to play with 7 players.
- Are there playing time requirements?
While there are no play time requirements, our goal is to assure all athletes enjoy the season.
- Are numbers required on the jerseys?
Yes, on the back of the jersey at a minimum adhering to NFHS uniform rules.
- Do the teams need to provide flags/game ball for the games?CYO will provide flags for the game. If you wish to purchase flags for practices, Sonic Boom is the official flag and
can be purchased here.
- What size footballs will they use?
Pee Wee balls will be used at all levels for boys Flag Football
- Will there be an end-of-season tournament?
There is not an end of the season tournament.

Flag Football General Information
Q: When does the season begin and end?
A: Mid-Sept-Late Oct/). Check with your AD/DSM for information regarding practices.
Q: Who can play and when are games typically held?
A: Boys grades 2-5 (assuming there are enough teams to form a league in a particular grade), games on Saturdays
Q: How many games in a season?
A: 6 games and post season qualifiers
Q: Does the parish provide uniforms?
A: Yes. Contact your parish Director of Sports Ministry AD/DSM.
Q: When are practices during the week?
A: Practice starts August. Contact your parish AD/DSM for details. CYO is not involved with parish practices or tryouts.
Q: Do coaches receiving any training specific to football?
